- Just A Start (opens new tab): A community organization focused on promoting economic stability in individuals and families through affordable housing, career training, and comprehensive support. Their Biomedical and IT Careers Programs (opens new tab) are free nine-month trainings to prepare individuals to enter science and technology careers.

- Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences (SCALE) (opens new tab): Offers classes and support services to adult learners in need of basic reading, writing and math skills, English instruction for non-native speakers, or a high-school credential. SCALE’s fully accessible facilities include a computer lab and an on-site Test Center. Classes are free. Fees are charged for orientations, adult evening school, testing, and for the ADP (Adult Diploma Program).
