Teens' Guide to Reproductive Rights

transcript: photo of the teen room with cartoon teen studying

What is reproductive health care?

Reproductive health care is any medical or health-related service focused on sexual and reproductive health and safety. Examples include STI testing and treatment, contraception pills and supplies, cervical and ovarian cancer screenings, and abortion access.

In addition to the resources below, we have a lot of books on the topic - look for books labeled 618 on the 3rd floor Mezzanine, or explore our e-books on the Hoopla or Libby apps. Anything you check out is completely private, and you are always welcome to read while at the library.

SOME RESOURCES

A Guide to State Policies: Know how the law protects you! Scroll down to the topic you want (abortion, contraception, teen-specific, etc), click, and find MA in the chart to know the local laws.

Quick Fact Sheet: This interactive maps provides an overview of abortion protection by state.

Planned Parenthood: Provides access to STD testing, birth control, the morning after pill, and abortion services.

Beware anti abortion centers: the mass.gov resource explaining what they are and how to avoid them – they are not there to help you!
