Wellington Hall Closure

The collections on the second and third floors at the Central Library will be unavailable starting Monday April 27 until the floors reopen on Monday May 11.

If you are looking to browse adult fiction, adult and young adult nonfiction, magazine, or DVD collections, please visit our East or West branches.

If you are looking for a specific title, please place a hold online and the first available copy will be processed for you. You can also give us a call at 617-623-5000, and we will find the nearest library that has it available for you. 

Collections in the Children’s Department and Teen Room will continue to be accessible during this time. 

The Teen Room will be open to everyone for all normal library operational hours*, with a limited number of computers and printing available. The East Branch and West Branch will be open for their normal operational hours.

*Teen use of the Teen Room will be prioritized from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 12:00 – 5:00 pm on Wednesdays.
