Teen Empowerment: Teen Empowerment operates a youth organizing site in Somerville, MA that employs youth ages 14-20 to work in year-round youth leadership jobs. The focus of their work is to involve a large number of their peers in positive community involvement and to bring youth voice into City policies.

Somerville Positive Forces: The youth division of Somerville Cares about Prevention (SCAP), a community based coalition supported by the City's Health Department that works to reduce substance abuse, as well as the harms associated with such use among Somerville residents with a particular focus on youth.

LIPS (Liaison Interpreter Program of Somerville) at The Welcome Project is hiring bilingual teens with a passion for social justice to train to assist with language interpretation at community events and meetings.
Mayor's Summer Jobs Program: The Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides opportunities for City youths to work within the community during the summer months in both the public and private sectors.
Groundwork Somerville Green Team: The Green Team at Groundwork Somerville is a youth employment program focusing on urban agriculture, environmental justice, civic engagement, and job skills. The Green Team builds the leadership potential of Somerville youth to work for environmental and social justice while learning career and life skills. Green Team members work throughout the City of Somerville: at South Street Farm, school gardens, on and around the Mystic River, at the Somerville Mobile Farmers Market, and more.
Teen Snow Shoveling Program: The Somerville Teen Shoveling program is a paid program for youth to shovel out seniors after a snow storm in Somerville. Teens and seniors are paired for the season. After each storm, the senior contacts their assigned youth to request shoveling services.
Somerville Media Center: Teen Internships are available through the Somerville Media Center’s Youth Program.
Parts and Crafts: Parts and Crafts offers two kinds of summer jobs: CIT (counselor in training), unpaid positions for kids 14-16, and Junior Counselor, paid positions for kids 17 and older.
Mystic Mural Project: The Somerville Arts Council employs kids ages 14-19 to work on the Mystic Mural Project every summer.
YMCA’s CIT/LIT Job Readiness Program: This program trains youth for future employment in a Somerville Summer Camp Program or other job opportunities.
