Summer Reading
The Young Adult Department is the place to go for summer reading. The Somerville Public Library has multiple copies of almost all of your summer reading needs.
Thanks to some help from Somerville High School, the library should have enough copies to go around for all of the titles on the High School Summer reading list. These books are available at the Circulation Desk of the Somerville Public Library, located on the first floor. Just go to the desk and ask for the title you need. We also are the place to go for other summer reading lists. There are copies of the summer reading lists for most of the area high schools and junior highs available upstairs in the library at the Reference Desk. The books from these lists can be found in the Young Adult section of the library. Sometimes you want to read something different, something not on your ‘required list,’ and we are there to help you with that too. Along with all of the reading lists provided by the schools, we have lists from ‘The Best Books For Teens’ going back for several years. There is also always a librarian around to help you pick out something good for you. If you need help finding a book, or even finding out what book you need to read, please ask a librarian at the Reference desk, or check out the lists we have here:
