The Reference Department is located on the second floor (Wellington Hall) of the Somerville Public Library (Central Library) at 79 Highland Avenue. The Reference Department provides access to numerous electronic databases, interlibrary loan services, and genealogy and local history research.

The Reference staff is friendly, professional and eager to help you navigate your way in the Library. The staff offers instruction on how to use our online catalog and databases, aids patrons with research needs in areas such as job hunting, school projects, or family history, as well as providing reader's advisory for personal, educational, creative and business needs.
